A group of us got together to experience the thrill of re-watching an episode of stargate together via twitter, and We had such a great success that we plan to do it again. The next episode we plan to watch together is StarGate Atlantis The storm and the Eye combined.

We are calling ourselves the #SGAWT and our team currently consists of the following members which are also available on @ManyAdv0fMother's list

Event has been Postponed for a week or so...

So I was thinking might as well use the time watch something, You can be assured that if you login to the Twitter Chat at 7:00 PM CST you will see some people. There is a little twitter app thingy it will ask to allow, takes 2 seconds or 5, try it out make sure it works and stay tuned, lets call it practice. Consider this your Guaranty, the Storm is coming and it will be huge.

The plan as I see it is pretty simple. We will synchronize viewing of "The storm, take a short break and then start watching The Eye" A large group of us will tweet comontary and some will login here and chat. The SGAWT watch event made the Tweeted Times.

The winds blew, the lightning struck, the rains poured down, the storm was huge and yet in the end our team emerged victorious! The monthly StarGate Watch Team came together on Friday Night (the true night for SYFY) February the 22nd 2013 and to spite some criticism and struggle had a fantastic time. We were able to once again synchronize our viewing of the StarGate Atlantis season 1 episode 10 "The Storm" and episode 11 "The Eye" back to back. We started a short time after 7:00 PM CST had a short break for snacks and refreshments between episodes and finished right at 9:00 PM. I just wanted to recap some of the highlights from the event here to pay tribute to those who participated and to give others who missed the opportunity a chance to enjoy the show one more time.

The team agreed to use the twitter hash tag of #SGAWT to make it easier to follow and enable our team to use more of the 140 characters during the watch, I thought it worked out as well as could be expected, with only a few issues. Before you ask, no we were not able to get it to trend, maybe next time. We did however manage to receive quite a bit of attention and feedback, both negative and positive. People asked, what the hell are you doing? Why so many tweets? They followed, they unfollowed, they Favorited and retweeted. Over a period of approximately 2 hours I personally gained 10 and lost 17 but it was sure a ton of fun.
