That developed into other stuff. This next post I shared in 2009 was in part a grassroots reaction to all kinds of stuff, but in light of today's news announcement, certainly presents as a real issue. "EMP threat- imminent?" http://bluejacky.xanga.com/711798603...eat--imminent/
I've done my share of yapping about politics over the years, and I'm kind of tired of it. I think everything we see going on in public is a distraction. I think the idea that we have freedom is over. I think the social media making our opinions a big deal is a silly blind spot to keep the sheep thinking our voices matter. I think I'm more ready than most of you are for whatever happens, IF something does happen. "survivalists- end of the world, 2012- mach II" http://bluejacky.xanga.com/661256712...2012--mach-ii/
In the meantime, I'm going back to playing around with my scifi stuff. I have already accepted that the world isn't heading toward the utopia that scifi fans dream of. And a word to gamers- that stuff isn't prepping you for actual survival at ALL. It's lulling you to sleep. Don't get me wrong, I like gaming, a LOT, it's cool and fun. But you need to get out and do something real besides spend your money on tech, especially if we lose tech in an EMP strike.
If you all would like to carry this into the forums for discussion, I'm sure Myke would make us a special thread for politics. Please note that trying to convince me of anything without first reading my posts I just linked only shows that you're not open to debate. A good intellectual interchange could be fun.
