I was told that I would be waking up to thunderstorms and ice today.

Instead, I woke up to cloudy skies and dry grass. Apparently, it did not rain last night. The temperature is currently below freezing but without any rain, it's just cold weather without the benefit of snow or ice or any of the other stuff that makes life fun. I know that people up north are sick of the snow and the ice but down here in Texas, we're still waiting for good winter storm. We got a little bit of snow in January but .... well, it was kind of pathetic really. It was a dusting. Some snow fell. It melted after a few moments. There were no snowmen. There were no snowball fights. It just doesn't count.

And again, I know that snow can be a problem for people who get it every single year. But, for those of us who haven't seen a good blizzard in over 4 years, it's hard not to feel like a fun friend is deliberately avoiding us. It's like when someone says, "I was in your neighborhood .... TWO DAYS AGO." Yeah, like I'm not going to be able to guess why you're only now telling me this....

Seriously, I WANT SNOW!
