I've been binging on The Sopranos since last Thursday. I've got the entire series on DVD but I've been watching the series on Prime just because .... well, why not? All of the old HBO shows will be leaving Prime on May 21st and migrating over to HBO MAX so I figured I'd see how many of them I can binge before they leave. I'll probably finish off the Sopranos tomorrow and then I guess I'm moving onto Deadwood. There were only three seasons of Deadwood so I should be able to knock that show out in two or three days. And then, it'll be time Oz or Boardwalk Empire. I'll probably watch Oz since it's the older of the two shows and I've got Boardwalk Empire on DVD. I originally wanted to include The Wire in my binging but I don't think I'll be able to get to it before the 21st and, again, I've got it all on DVD and I already rewatched the entire series last year.
I have to say that The Sopranos hold up remarkably well. Perhaps not surprisingly, I relate the most to Meadow. I would have made a good Mafia Princess, I think. Oh well. I may never get to find out for sure but these things happen.
I live in Texas and we're kind of reopening but Dallas county is still mostly shut down. To be honest, it's kind of hard to keep up with what's open and with what's closed. It feels as if we're just making all of this up as we go along. It's annoying. I'm not longer as worried about the pandemic as I was when it first started, though I do always wear a mask when I go out. I'm now more worried about people getting used to the idea of being told that they have to do this or they have to do that. We've sacrificed a lot of freedom to deal with this pandemic and I worry about what that means for the future. I do have to admit, though, that I like working from home. For one thing, it's easier to binge watch The Sopranos when you're working from home.
Anyway, if you're reading this, I hope you're doing well!
