I woke up this morning and I took one look at twitter and I said, to myself, "No way in Hell."
I logged out and I'm going to stay logged out for the next 24 hours. With all of the anger and the disinformation out there, the only way to really survive a crisis is to take care of yourself. And the first step of taking care of yourself is getting rid of things that could make your condition worse. Unlike a lot of people, twitter doesn't cause me to have anxiety because I assume that most twitter experts are full of shit and I never actually pay attention to anything they say. However, twitter does get on my nerves with its relentless negativity and angst. That's not something that I or anyone else needs right now.
So, I'm taking 24 hours off of twitter and I doubt anyone will notice.
It'll do me a world of good, though.
