This morning we woke up at the Island of Nassau, docked next to many other cruise line ships at a huge dock, its kewl to see them all, next to us in the dock is the Royal Caribbean Ship The Monarch of the Sea, pretty sure that is the same ship were were on the last cruise we took 5 or 6 years ago. Today is the big day that we all came for Amanda and Loren will be getting married on the Island about noon.
The place that Amanda and Loren got married at (Compass Point) was very pretty, like something right out of a magazine. They had small Bungalows all around a nice beach setting, obviously you could rent them out if you went to this place for vacation alone. A large lodge with a bar and dinning area with a nice pool near the beach.
They had recently built a huge pier off the main beach area that lead out into the ocean, grass hut style roof with benches and chairs all set up for the small wedding. The setting was very beautiful, they really picked a great place to re-sight their vows. The ceremony was short and about perfect, the weather was also perfect, warm dry and about 75 ish.
There was a short reception after the ceremony, they served appetizers and drinks, someone I'm sure paid the bar tab because it was open bar and at the cost of drinks on this trip even with such a small group I'm sure it wasn't cheap.
After the party, the wedding party rode back to the ship in a stretch hummer, while we rode behind in a tour bus, about a 30 minute ride both ways and we got a see a little more of Nassau then I saw the last time I was here, all we saw was Atlantis. We stopped at Senior Frogs for T-shirts and drinks briefly, I didn't see anything I wanted. I bought t-shirts last time I was here and didn't ware any of them until we came on this trip.
We ate dinner at an Italian restaurant on the ship, it was really pretty good, I had the steak and Kathy had whatever this was, she said it was good.
We partied more last night on the ship, the girls entered the dance contest and Sara tied for first, they are supposed to have a dance off to settle it tonight. I ate more at the buffet and tried to go to bed early, the lady's wanted to keep me out, but my feet started to feel like they were sticking to the floor with a magnetic attraction, I can't explain the feeling any other way, when I finally got into the room, everyone came in again and I got grouchy and snapped off on them witch I later regretted. I went down to a quiet piano bar and found a place to read my book for about an hour, and by the time an hour was up I could no longer keep my eyes open and head back to my room to sleep no matter what was going on in there, to my surprise it was empty and I think I was out before my head hit the pillow.
