50 years ago today, President Nixon signed the law the set the national speed limit at 55. Personally, I think that is one of the worst thing that has ever happened to this country. The minute that people accept that the government can tell you how fast to drive is the minute that people start to accept the idea of having no freedom whatsoever.

Personally, it has been my experience that slow drivers are a lot more dangerous than fast drivers.
