The best thing about this week, beyond the fact that it's October and every day in October is the greatest day ever, is that our new dishwasher is sitting installed in the kitchen. For three months, that dishwasher sat out in the garage while various swindlers and crooks tried to convince my sister and I to allow them to tear up our kitchen. They thought they'd swindle us out of $30,000. Instead, we took care of things ourselves. It cost about $50 to get rid of the mold. Vinegar, water, gloves, and goggles. That's all that was needed.

And now, finally, that weight is gone. The dishwasher is installed. The crooks and the con artists have been banished form our lives. And the dishwasher is doing its job. Life is everything that it should be.
