  • Armstrong CGHA

I got this garage furnace from a neighbor friend in 1997, $500 installed was a good deal and it only cost me a bottle of rum for the installation. It was some very good spiced rum though.

The Armstrong CGHA 45AE2 has worked great to heat my 3 car garage since it was installed, the only complaint I could think of is the vibration noise that travels through the floor boards to the upper level of my house.I think the 45 stands for 45000 btu's. It ran correctly for about 10 years, then the control board went out, I just finished replacing it with a Lennox 17W82 that I found for sale on ebay.

This 17W82 worked correctly in the end but there was one terminal on the old circuit board that was labeled L1 and thankfully I saved the original installation manual and it contained the diagram that helped.

Working...
